Balcões
Balcões is a viewpoint with a small belvedere near the levada at Ribeiro Frio, offering one of the finest panoramas of Madeira's interior mountains.
At the locality of Ribeiro Frio (see that entry), beside the levada (irrigation channel) path (esplanada), there is a spot with a small belvedere (mirante) called Balcão or Balcões (‘balconies’). From it one enjoys one of the most striking panoramas of the island’s interior, taking in the highest summits of our mountains.
