Balancal
Balancal is a locality in São Gonçalo parish on the southern edge of the Quinta do Palheiro Ferreiro, known for its view over Funchal.
A lugar (settlement ranking between a town and a parish) in the parish (freguesia) of São Gonçalo (‘St Gonçalo’), bordering the southern end of the Quinta do Palheiro Ferreiro (‘blacksmith’s barn’), from which there is a striking panorama over the amphitheatre of the city of Funchal and its suburbs.
