Funchal-born Coimbra law graduate (1874) who practised with distinction in the Madeiran courts and published legal works. He was son-in-law of the Baron of Conceição, father of Alberto Figueira Jardim, and owner in 1921 of the Quinta do Barão da Conceição at Caniço.
