Successor to the Teive entail, accountant to Queen Catarina and master of the horse to the princesses, who died in Spain. He was the father of Belchior de Teive and in 1571 made a contract with a silk manufacturer to produce silk in Madeira. A son bearing the same name, gentleman to Emperor Rudolf, was killed at Alcácer Quibir in 1578.
