Francisco João Moniz

Member of the Moniz family and Junta da Fazenda official, elected deputy for Madeira to the Constituent Cortes of 1821–1822. He fled Miguelist persecution in 1828 to Brazil, served as Portuguese vice-consul in Rio de Janeiro and died around 1848; he was the father of Patrício Moniz.
