Portuguese magistrate, also called Veloso de Oliveira, who came to Madeira as corregedor in 1790 and later served as inspector of tobacco and soap, judge of the British conservatory and inspector of agriculture. His agricultural instructions, left at the Calheta council, were highly valued and inspired the creation of the Junta de Melhoramentos da Agricultura.
