Name attached to several Teive family figures: one said to have settled in Madeira about 1500 as the first there to bear the Aragão surname, a Ribeira Brava native who served John III in India, an Augustinian friar who died as visitor-general in India, and a councillor elected in 1641 to sign the Restoration letters to the king.
