Companion of Zarco in the discovery and first settlement of Madeira; his boat's crew caught the pargo that named Ponta do Pargo and rescued young men at the Ribeira dos Socorridos. In 1483 he gave land in Santa Maria Maior for the Misericórdia hospital, on condition of six beds for the poor.
