Capelas
Differed from morgadios in that the assets were subject to pious obligations. The chapels could not be alienated, and their owners received only a portion of the income from the assets, with the remaining part destined to fulfill the aforementioned obligations. There existed a court called the 'Juizo dos Residuos e Capelas' (see this name) which exercised oversight over the fulfillment of all pious obligations and imposed penalties on offenders.
