A newspaper in this city on May 7, 1922, reported that the Agricultural Syndicate of Madeira had just been installed, after being duly approved, presenting the list of citizens elected to the general assembly, board of directors, and fiscal council of the syndicate. The newspaper also added that the syndicate had honorary, founding, full, and subscribing members, with the first class comprising individuals who donated an amount exceeding 100$00 or performed acts of recognized value and utility, the second class consisting of those who paid a fee of 10$00 and a monthly fee of $50, the third class including those who, paying a fee of 5$00, also responded with a $50 fee, and the last class comprising those who paid the annual fee of 2$40 in monthly installments. After the aforementioned news, the Agricultural Syndicate of Madeira did not show any signs of activity, although it had representation on the administrative council of the 9th Agricultural Region station, in accordance with the provisions of the decree of April 3, 1922 (1922).
