Madeiran poet who died in Funchal, aged about 40, on 13 November 1889. He contributed to several Madeiran newspapers, especially the periodical A Verdade (‘Truth’), and published the Album Madeirense, poems by various authors (Funchal, 1884), Prelúdios poéticos and Petalas (Funchal, 1887).
