Martin Vahl was a Danish botanist who stayed in Madeira in 1901–02 and 1920–21, visiting Porto Santo on the second trip. He published studies of Madeira's vegetation in 1904 and 1905.

A Danish botanist who stayed in Madeira from 1901 to 1902 and from 1920 to 1921. On his second visit to this island he also visited Porto Santo (‘holy harbour’). Works: Madeiras Vegetation, Copenhague, 1904, and Ueber die Vegetation Madeiras (Engler's Botanische Jahrbuchn, 1905).
