Sousa Brasão (Manuel de)

São Vicente-born army administration captain who served in Angola and Mozambique and was elected deputy for Madeira in 1921.

He was born in the parish (freguesia) of São Vicente on 21 April 1884 and died at his residence in the Fort of São Lourenço (St Lawrence) on 21 December 1923. He was a captain in the Military Administration and served in southern Angola from 1914 to 1915, and in Mozambique from 1916 to 1917. He was elected deputy for Madeira on 10 July 1921 and contributed to various party newspapers.
