A small flatfish living on muddy or sandy bottoms near the Madeiran coast, caught with trawl nets; pleasant-tasting but of little commercial value.
A fish of the family Pleuronectidae that lives on muddy or sandy bottoms close to the coast, where it is caught with trawl nets, sometimes in large quantities. It has a pleasant taste, but because of its small size it is a species of little commercial value.
