Ratão (Trygon pastinaca)

The ratão is a stingray with a venomous spined tail, living near the Madeiran coast and disliked for its taste.

A fish of the family Trygonidae, with a tail armed with spines and capable of secreting a venomous mucus. It usually lives between the coast and a depth of 50 braças (fathoms), and is disliked for its bad taste.
