The John Dory (Zeus faber), occasionally sold at Funchal market and caught with briqueira or gorazeira lines.
A scombrid fish that sometimes appears at the Funchal market. Its flavour is not very delicate, and it is usually caught with the briqueira (a Madeiran hand line for bottom fishing) or the gorazeira (deep-water longline for sea bream).
