Passos (Francisco Carregal da Silva)

He was born around 1878, the son of Manuel António da Silva Passos and Dona Maria Teresa Bastos Carregal da Silva Passos, and served as Portuguese consul in Dakar. He had qualified as an agricultural regent and contributed extensively to many newspapers and magazines in Lisbon, and he wrote two pamphlets entitled a Tagante and O Escalpello. He died in Lisbon on 1 October 1931.
