Original title: Moinhos (Rua dos)
Former name of part of Funchal's Rua das Mercês, named after a mill once there and originally called Rua do Peso.
This was formerly the name of the part of Rua das Mercês between Travessa das Capuchinhas and Largo do Marquês. At the upper end of the street stood a mill, demolished some years ago. Rua dos Moinhos (‘mills’) was originally called Rua do Peso.
