G. Mandon, French botanist who collected plants in Madeira in 1865–1866; his collections underpinned Cosson's work on the archipelago's flora.

A distinguished French botanist, well known for the extremely valuable botanical collections he assembled both in the Madeira archipelago and in Bolivia. He stayed on this island from 1865 to 1866, and his collections served as the basis for a work by Cosson on the flora of the Madeira archipelago.
