Funchalia

Crustacean genus named after Funchal by the naturalist James Yate Johnson in 1867.

A genus of crustaceans dedicated by the late English naturalist James Yate Johnson to the city of Funchal, where he lived for many years. Funchalia Woodwardi is the only species so far recorded in this genus, which was published in the Proceedings of the Zoological Society of 28 November 1867.
