John Driver was an English author of two books on Madeira: letters written from the island in 1834 and a historical and descriptive guide for visitors.

Works: Letters from Madeira in 1834, London, 1838, and Historical and descriptive account of the Island of Madeira, and guide to Visitors. The latter work is appended to that of Dr Mason on the climate of Madeira, published in 1850.
