Dita
'Dita' is the Madeiran name for the natural fusion of two fruits, a phenomenon seen in bananas, cucumbers, tomatoes and potatoes. The entry compares it to grafting.

Cases of concrescence are not rare in Madeira, and they are observed in bananas, cucumbers, tomatoes, potatoes, etc., etc. De Candolle called concrescence natural grafting, and indeed it involves, much as in grafting, the adhesion or fusion of organs of identical or analogous structure.
