Brisa

The brisa is the Madeiran name for the prevailing north-east summer wind, generally not felt beyond Ponta da Oliveira.

Madeirans give the name brisa to the prevailing north-east wind that blows mainly during the summer. Because of the direction it follows, this wind is generally not felt beyond Ponta da Oliveira (‘olive-tree point’).
