Priest who was deputy vicar of São Roque do Faial when its chapel was enlarged in 1889, and later parish priest of Ponta Delgada, where he led the rebuilding of the church after the 1908 fire. He also searched, without success, for the birthplace of Joaquim José Ferreira de Freitas.
