Conselheiro (Rua do)

The full name of this public road is Rua do Conselheiro Jose Silvestre Ribeiro. It was opened during the period when this meritorious governor was in charge of the administration of this district, and it was named after him as a tribute to the very relevant services he provided to this archipelago. It is the street that borders the Municipal Garden to the west. It was extended a few years ago to the Rua das Fontes, passing by the 'Teatro Manuel de Arriaga'.
