Congro (Conger vulgaris)

An eel-like fish that frequents the sea adjacent to these islands. It is generally caught at night with fixed or drifting tackle, such as longlines and others. It is also known as 'safio', and generally among the people by the corruptions 'congro' and 'seifio'.
