Conceição

A place in the parish of Estreito da Calheta, where there is a chapel dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Conceição, built in 1673 by André de França e Andrade. It was the seat of one of the largest entailed estates in Madeira, and the last representative of this entailed estate was Diogo de Ornelas de França Carvalhal Frasão Figueiroa, 11th Viscount and Count of Calçada.
