Municipal Constitutional Commission / Comissão Municipal Constitucional

On July 5, 1834, the members of the governance gathered at the Town Hall to elect a commission to replace the appointed councilors during the usurpation. The elected citizens were as follows: Luiz Teixeira Doria, president, Valentim Leal, vice-president, João Francisco de Florença, Luiz de Ornelas e Vasconcelos, and Tristão Joaquim Bettencourt da Camara. The functions of this commission lasted until October 20, 1834.
