Agulheira

A very simple fishing apparatus usually intended for surface fish or those swimming at mid-depth. It consists of only a line with a hook fixed to its free end, with a small square board at the other end, where the line is wound. Sometimes it is used for bottom fish, and then a weight is added near the hook.
