Castilho (Alexandre Magno de)

This naval officer and writer visited Madeira several times and married a Madeiran lady, D. Carlota de Almeida Afonseca. He passed away in Funchal on January 19, 1871. In his book Roteiro da Costa Africa Occidental, there are some elements that contribute to the history of our archipelago.
