Castelo Branco (Mauricio José de)

Born in Funchal around 1842 and attended the lyceum in this city and in Coimbra. He held the position of finance clerk in Funchal for several years and collaborated in Direito, Recreio, Crepusculo, Diario Popular, and other local newspapers. He died in this city on September 6, 1910.
