Bay Damselfish (Heliastes limbatus) / Castanheta Baia (Heliastes limbatus)

A bony fish of the Pomacentridae family, caught in the summer and abundantly found on the south coast of Madeira. It is caught at shallow depths, which can vary between 7 and 12 fathoms, using a suitable circular net. Although a small species, it is esteemed for its pleasant taste. It is also known as white damselfish.
