Dona Snail (Littorina striata) / Caramujo de Dona (Littorina striata)

Gastropod mollusk of the Tracheida family, very common at the highest tide levels and even above that line. It is the marine mollusk that lives farthest from the seashore here. It is not edible and is found on all the islands of the archipelago, including the Selvagens.

The expression "Dona Snail" is peculiar to the island of Porto Santo.
