Cantaria Mole
An agglomeration of black ashes, made compact by pressure. It is used in ovens, stoves, sinks, filters, etc..
The name 'cantaria mole' is also given to compact red slag, used for door sills in rural houses.
It was widely used in the construction of buildings in the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, before the widespread use of 'cantaria rija' or porous basalt.
