Caneleira (Cinnamomum zeylanicun)

A tree of the Lauraceae family, widely cultivated in the estates and gardens of Madeira. It is very ornamental and a good shade tree, with persistent leaves, but its bark is not very aromatic and has no commercial value. We have only seen the Cassia variety on the island.
