Boxwood (Buxus sempervirens) / Buxo (Buxus sempervirens)

A European shrub of the Buxaceae family, widely cultivated in Madeira. The decoction of the roots, bark, and leaves is recommended for rheumatism. The wood of the boxwood is highly valued by turners due to its great hardness.
