Bougainvillea (Bougainvillea spectabilis) / Buganvília (Bougainvillea spectabilis)

Woody plant native to South America, widely used in Madeira to cover walls, viewpoints, galleries, etc. The branches are thorny and the flowers are surrounded by large bracts, usually pink or violet pink. It belongs to the family Nyctaginaceae.
