Briozoarios

The bryozoans from Madeira studied so far are all of marine origin and have been studied by the following naturalists: Professor G. Busk, Rev. Thomas Hincks, Arthur W. Waters, James Y. Johnson and, recently, Dr. A. M. Norman. The latter mentions in his work 130 species from Madeira, Porto Santo and the Savage Islands, of which 7 are new to science and 39 had not been found in the seas of this archipelago.
