Administrators of the Municipality / Administradores do Concelho

The first administrators of the municipality were appointed in 1835, but before them there were the administrators, who performed functions identical to those of the administrators. The first administrator of the municipality of Funchal was Januário Cardoso de Melo, who took office on August 16, 1834.
