Bodioa
It refers to the gray-colored hen speckled with light and dark, reminiscent of the bodião, whose scales frequently present those colors.
Boga (Box boops). A fish of the Sparidae family, native and very common in the waters of this archipelago. It is mainly in late spring and early summer that it is caught in large quantities, along with mackerel and horse mackerel, which abundantly arrive from outside during that time. It is one of the species included in the group that fishermen call ruama. In fishing, hook devices are used, but the one that provides the most abundant harvest is the conical net, in the form of a bag, called the ruama net. Its value is low, and the taste is mediocre.
