Barreto (Remigio António Gil Spínola)

By decree of May 1, 1913, he was appointed substitute civil governor of this district, and took office on the 10th of the same month and year. He was elected senator for Madeira on July 13, 1915. He is a law graduate, a notary in the city of Funchal, and was born in the town of Santa Cruz on February 24, 1870.
