Born in Madeira in the year 1546 and died on October 13, 1606. He took the habit of the Carmelites in 1568 and held very important positions in his order. He had a profound knowledge of the Latin language and was a renowned preacher in his time. Barbosa Machado says that he left several Poems and Prayers, which remained unpublished.
