Travassos Valdez (Francisco)

He was the son of the Count of Bonfim, who was the governor and captain-general of Madeira from 1827 to 1828. He wrote: Six years of a traveller’s life in Western Africa (London 1861) and Africa Occidental (Lisbon 1864).
