It was constituted by deed on December 12, 1901, and its statutes were approved at a general assembly session on September 23, 1900. This society built the buildings located between Rua do Favila and the walkway and bridge of Ribeiro Seco, with the plan and layout of the first houses built there being approved by the Municipal Council of Funchal in a session on October 10, 1903.
