Soares (Feliciano)

He was born in Aveiro on October 14, 1886, and is an aspiring customs officer in Funchal. He founded the Institute of Secondary and Commercial Education and the Antonia Georgina Scholarship in this city, the latter being intended to subsidize poor students attending the country's official schools. He published, in collaboration with Emanuel Vitorino Ribeiro, a booklet entitled Terra! Terra!, alluding to the discovery of Madeira (1921).
