Silva (Clemente de Freitas da)

He was born in the parish of Santa Cruz on November 25, 1859, and died in the town of Ponta do Sol on March 16, 1917. He was the secretary of the municipal councils of São Vicente and Porto Moniz, and the secretary of the administration of the council of Ponta do Sol. He distinguished himself notably as a solicitor and a provisionist lawyer, having valuable legal works that many distinguished legal experts would not hesitate to sign. He had significant collaboration in many newspapers and was the founder and editor of the Brado d'Oeste, which was published for many years in the town of Ponta do Sol.
