Atum de Cacho

This term is used for any species of tuna that appears in large schools on the surface of the sea. This expression is particularly applied to the albacore and skipjack tunas, but especially to the young individuals of the albacore, whose passage through the waters of Madeira occurs in greater numbers in the spring months.
