Athias (Dr. Marck)
He was born on December 11, 1876, and holds a doctorate in medicine from the Faculty of Paris and is a medical surgeon from the Medical School of Lisbon, having completed his secondary studies at the Funchal lyceum, where he always proved to be a very distinguished student. He serves as the first assistant at the Câmara Pestana Bacteriological Institute, as a professor and librarian at the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon, and as secretary at the Portuguese Society of Natural Sciences. He wrote a work entitled Anatomy of the Nerve Cell (Lisbon, 1905) and has collaborated in the bulletin of the Portuguese Society of Natural Sciences, Polytechnia, etc., etc..
