Sanguinho (Rhamnus glandulosa)
Tree of the Rhamnaceae family with ovate or ovate-oblong, serrated leaves usually provided with 2 to 4 small glands or protuberances on the underside of the upper page. It has small, greenish-yellow flowers arranged in short axillary clusters and is found in the Serra do Seixal and between Lamaceiros and Ribeiro Frio. It produces light and homogeneous wood, formerly used in inlays, but now unknown to the vast majority of carpenters, as it is very rare.
