Rocha (Joaquim Leonardo da)

We have already discussed this painter in the article dedicated to the António Augusto de Aguiar Industrial School (volume I, page 398), and it should be added here that he was born in Portugal in 1756 and died in Funchal after the year 1821, being the son of the distinguished painter Manuel Joaquim da Rocha. He was especially a portraitist and left several canvases on this island.
